Long Memorial goes beyond being accessibility “compliant” to being accessibility friendly!
Entrance Accessibility
From the east parking lot at the rear of the church, a covered entry with level pavement and an automatic door opens into an elevator lobby. The elevator provides access to all floors.
A wheelchair ramp on the south side of the building provides smooth access from the main parking lot to the 2nd Floor where the Main Sanctuary, Library, Offices, Nursery and Restrooms are located.
Another entry on the south side, towards the rear of the building, provides level access from the main parking lot to the 1st Floor where Harris Hall, the Lewis Room and Restrooms are located.
Worship Accessibility
Portable Assistive Listening Device receivers are available from the Technician at the Sound Desk in the rear of the Main Sanctuary. Each 3″x5″ receiver is fitted with a new ear bud and has an adjustable on/off-volume knob. An FM transmitter tied into the sound system delivers sound wirelessly, allowing you to sit anywhere you wish. For your convenience, you may check out a receiver and keep it as long as you wish.
Several wheelchair spaces with easy aisle access are provided among the pews of the Main Sanctuary. Ushers will assist you in locating an available space.
