Long Memorial offers two traditional worship services on Sunday morning.
The 8:45 a.m. service is held in the Chapel. This beautiful and intimate worship space reminds many folks of the classic North Carolina community church that is an iconic part of our culture. You will discover a refreshing and meaningful worship experience as you join in familiar hymns of faith and encounter God’s word in scripture and preaching. This is an excellent way to begin Sunday.
The 11:00 a.m. service is in the historic Main Sanctuary. Our Chancel Choir enriches this worship through their powerful and moving anthems. The traditional format creates a worshipful, but not uncomfortably formal service. All the generations are represented in this gathering. We offer a Children’s Message during the service and an opportunity to continue their worship in an age appropriate Children’s Church.
Each year Long Memorial also has several special evening worship services including a candle light Moravian Love Feast in early December and candle light Christmas Eve services, as well as Ash Wednesday, Maundy Thursday, and Good Friday services.
