Volunteer with the Altar Guild. The Altar Guild is responsible for preparing the Chapel and the Main Sanctuary for Sunday worship and special worship services. Rotating on a monthly basis, teams of two or three meet as needed to check and replace the candles as necessary, and to change the paraments (the fabric hangings on the altar and pulpit) and the banners according to liturgical season. After each service, Altar Guild members straighten and evenly distribute hymnals and pew Bibles and remove bulletins and other items left behind. Periodically members meet to polish the sanctuary brass. Women and men are welcome to join the Altar Guild. For more information about the Altar Guild, visit the webpage Altar Guild or contact Cornelia Loftis.
Join the Chancel Choir to help lead the congregational singing and to offer an anthem each Sunday at the 11 a.m. service.
